Mrs. Wilson joined Southbridge Public Schools this summer after spending the last five years working as Principal of Mile Tree School in the Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District. Before her work at Mile Tree Mrs. Wilson was a Mathematics Instructional Leadership Specialist in the Springfield Public Schools. She served on Instructional Leadership Teams, Turnaround /School Improvement Teams, and Student Teacher Assistant Teams.
Mrs. Wilson was deeply involved in the writing and implementation of turnaround plans at two different level four schools while she was in Springfield. She is skilled at leading professional development sessions as well as coaching staff. Working with her team she was able to help both schools to rise out of level four status and find great success.
She is excited to be a part of the turnaround work in Southbridge Public Schools. Mrs. Wilson will work closely with the District administrators and her team at WSS on the district priorities of Literacy and Climate and Culture to ensure all students are engaged in their education and that the community and families are involved.
